Orange cable exposed.

It’s been two weeks since Xfinity came to install my internet and left an orange cable laying in my front yard. It’s a safety hazard because someone can trip on it. I called a week ago and was told a ticket was made and that I’ll receive an email but no email was received. I need that cable to be put underground and for a green cable box to be put to cover the exposed wires. Please please help.

Hello, @user_fkv4gc thank you for creating a post. You've reached out to the right place toget the exposed line work completed, I definitely want to help get this resolved as quickly as possible. I appreciate the detailed information, it is helpful to know the time frame and what steps that have already been taken and would like to investigate the status of the ticket that was submitted.

From experience, once a ticket is submitted and worked. A work order is placed, and typically can take up to 14 days to be completed as the ground first needs to be marked for any existing underground lines. In regard to a green box (pedestal) those are usually already existing in the neighborhood, with the line going from the pedestal connection point to your home.
