Only goal of customer service is to sell more products

I have contacted the customer service 2 or 3 times on different issues.  Each time when I approach them with a question, they always sweet talk to sell more products saying that it is a good deal.  Today, my chat was to see if there are options for only internet.  I am paying $97for internet and cable and as I don't watch cable tv as much I was thinking of taking cable off completely.  But, the CSR said that she found a very good deal, which was $100 just for internet.  Hello!!! How is that a good deal? I hate to contact customer service at all for this reason. If Fios was available at my location, I would have switched long time back.  Xfinity needs to do something about their customer service.

user_rxxj4o Thank you so much for your post this is not the experience we want you to have when reaching out for help. We always have options that are more direct like making a post here for help with any of your issues. Since our main goal is to help in public as much as possible so other members of our community can benefit we do not focus on sales. Our promotions do change all the time I can not say for sure but that may be an offer for our higher speed tiers or there may be no discounted offers available at this time. For plan options we have a great page set up you can check out if you want to see what options you can find. Or I can check over what offers are available for you if you prefer. Send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you. To send a Direct Message, please click on the chat icon in the top-right corner of the screen, next to the bell icon, and then type or select "Xfinity Support" to initiate a direct message.
