Ongoing WiFi dead zones – checking eligibility for complimentary xFi Pod
I’m experiencing persistent WiFi dead zones and weak signal in parts of my home despite using an Xfinity xFi Gateway.
I’ve already tried basic troubleshooting (restarts, placement changes), but certain rooms still have unreliable or unusable WiFi.
I understand Xfinity provides complimentary xFi Pods for customers who meet coverage requirements. Can someone please review my account and let me know if I’m eligible for a free WiFi Pod, or what steps I need to take to qualify? It has been 14 days, I have xfinity pro...
Thank you!

Hello, @user_i8rtex thank you for reaching out over Xfinity Forums. Working from home myself, I completely understand wanting to have your home network expand as far as possible without dead zones. Investigating further, I found that to our internet customers who are on 1 Gigabit or above internet can run an in home assessment from the Xfinity App to see if the Xfinity WiFi boost pod would be recommended: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/wifi-boost-guarantee
We do also our Xfinity Pro back up service that is $15 per month that offers battery back up if your modem loses power, and has the same option to run the home assessment to see if the free Wifi boost pods would be recommended: https://www.xfinity.com/learn/internet-service/xpro
- Are you currently subscribed to Gigabit or above internet speed, or the Xfinity Pro (XPro) service?
