Ongoing Internet issues
Comcast Internet the past few weeks has a daily habit of dropping to around 6 to 12 Mbps upload speeds everyday. Not the same time. Supposed to have 200 down which I had this morning.
But not worth fixing. Comcast left our town years ago with just a so-called technician support team and the old office for devices to be dropped off at.
The majority of techs come from 2 hours away. Only stores are that far also.
Constantly restarting stuff with limited results and then a few hours later back to normal.
Not even looking for any advice anymore, just stating what is happening. I have called the overseas support lines in the past to no avail. I have tried the Internet Assistant with the usual reset instructions.
I know I have an older modem and Comcast wants everyone on their gateways.
But no longer an issue. Local company has run fiber optics in my neighborhood and I am set to switch. This is my final post. I am leaving Comcast as soon as I get connected to the fiber, maybe sooner.

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
