Ongoing Houston outages after 10 days with no communication
This is the second time I’ve had to type this since the page crashed while submitting. It has been 10 days since the outage started, and there has not been a single communication regarding the ongoing reason or a good faith estimate for resolution.
We are constantly met with “as soon as possible” or unrealistic estimates that come and go without service being restored. The automated phone system is pointless and chat is infuriating. I understand that outages and storms are sometimes unavoidable, but this absolute lack of any communication is totally avoidable and insulting. A percentage of restoration tells us nothing about estimated resolution times for specific areas. I doubt the percentage is even honest given the numbers I see on the outage map and the community forum posts I’m a member of.
I have already signed up for another provider, and assuming that works out well enough, will be cancelling Xfinity. This is just beyond ridiculous.

Moved to Customer Service as this has nothing to do with Accessibility/disability.

@user_oyatf4 Please note that sending unsolicited peer to peer direct messages to myself or any other user is a direct violation of our forum guidelines. You must first create a Public post requesting assistance, and once a Comcast verified employee responds and asks for a direct message to be sent, you can then proceed with doing so. This is just a heads up for future reference, but I look forward to further assisting you through the DM you've already sent.
