Not receiving emails from a certain address

I'm all of a sudden not receiving emails from an address that I have been communicating with for years – they can receive my emails but I'm not receiving theirs... it's not even going to my spam folder. Their email is in my address book and I've marked their address as "Not Spam". They received a reply message on their end that their email to me is undeliverable with the following reason:

resimta-h2p-562248.sys.comcast.net rejected your message to the following email addresses:

xxxxxxxxxxxxxx@comcast.net (my email address - REDACTED)
There's a problem with the recipient's mailbox. Please try resending the message. If the problem continues, please contact your email admin.

resimta-h2p-562248.sys.comcast.net gave this error:
IJBhw9rwlFy5GIJBhwYRN7 Authentication (DKIM/SPF) Required

My question is, is this a Comcast email issue or a problem with the setup on the sender's end and how do you fix it?

Thanks!

user_o2prfr, Hi there! Thanks for taking the time out of your Thursday to reach out and for sharing the error message. That's really helpful. You've come to the right place for support. We are team of experts that specialize in resolving email concerns over social media. We can help. Based on the DKIM/SPF authentication error, this isn’t an issue with your Comcast mailbox or spam settings. The message is being rejected before delivery because the sender’s email system isn’t properly authenticated, which is why it never reaches your inbox or spam folder. This typically means the sender (or their email provider) needs to fix their SPF/DKIM configuration. Once that’s corrected on their end, emails should start delivering to you again. Adding them to contacts or marking “Not Spam” won’t bypass this since the message is blocked upstream. For more details on troubleshooting Comcast email error codes, please feel free to check out this link here. Please let me know if this helps.

Thank you so much. I will reach out to the sender and tell them they'll need to look into how to authenticate their email system.
