Not conndcting

New set top box won’t connect to tv. I get a welcome sign and after several minutes a message that says there’s a problem. Check cables. Done. This has happened several times. Can’t connect. Does the box need to be reset

I know you mentioned the cables have been checked. If you have not done a restart to the box, yes I would advise to please unplug the set-top box from the electrical outlet for 30-second, and then plug it back in. Please keep us posted if this helps, or if you need additional assistance.
