No Service and Terrible Support

Friday night all my service stopped working.  Phone is dead, most channels will not work, and internet is intermittent (~20 MB/Sec when working).

Tried resetting everything, check outside wiring for any issues, etc.  Figured I'd give it until Saturday morning to see if it resolved.

The reason I have a land line is because I have an elderly parent living in the house and it is for them in case of emergencies.

I called on Saturday and setup a service appointment for 10am-12pm for today.  No one showed up.

I called multiple times to try and get someone in tech support for an update around 130pm, but your aggravating (to put it mildly) automated system just kept running me in circles.

I finally called and selected the options for billing and they then transferred me to an actual person in support.

That person, in support, insisted that I had missed a call from the tech which I had not (again, no missed calls on my cell phone) and they had cancelled my appointment as a result.

So I now have an appointment for 9am-11am on Monday and can't watch the season final football game I was hoping to catch around 130pm.

We'll see if someone actually tries calling or showing up.

Outsourcing your support to India (and other countries) has only made your support worse then it already was (and that was a pretty low bar).

When you're one of the more expensive services you should be trying to provide actual support, not barely trained foreigners that you have to jump through a dozen hoops to actually talk to in the first place.
