No service and appointment 3 days away

Throughout the summer there were multiple Comcast vans right outside our house working on a pole. I would say probably 10 days during the summer. There was no mention of any work being done and our service was working fine, until the vans would show up, then it would go out for however long they were out there.

Fast forward to the present time, we were hit with a huge snow/ice storm and our service is out. No tv, no Internet. I work from home so obviously the Internet is essential. I called and went through the 45 minutes of testing and sending signals and restarting the box and modem, etc. shocking, nothing worked. So the rep scheduled an appointment for Friday. Today is Tuesday. There are no outages anywhere around our area for miles so to me, it doesn't look too busy. After I told the rep that I can't just not work until Friday and I needed an earlier appointment, the rep then kept me on the phone for another 20 minutes "checking" for a sooner appointment. Again, shocking, nothing sooner.

I don't understand why problems that are actual problems can't get addressed timely, yet techs are out here randomly just working on lines and poles.

It's June 4th 2024 in Colorado Springs and I'm in the same situation. Tuesday and I'm waiting till Friday for an appointment with no outages in the area, go figure. I don't think I'm asking for much for a tech to come by and tell me,  my modem bad and I'll have to order you a new one. Oh,  it might be next week until I get it. I just don't understand and I don't think it's good business either, especially with a new provider moving in town. I mean, my GoD if you can't handle the customers you have subcontract the maintenance out someone. Do something, because whenever Metro, whatever comes around, I'll have to take a look at them and I'm not the only one.
