No live cable outlet

Hi team,

Just installed my internet and found that I have a dead coax cable on the outlet. I need to replace this cable from the box to the outlet. Do you have this service or can I replace the cable myself?

Thanks!

That is a great question, @MarceloA. You can by all means replace the coaxial yourself. You can get a new and free one at an Xfinity Service Center. Please let us know if this does the trick for you as we may need to schedule a technician to come out for the outlet itself to be activated.

@XfinityKimberlyB Just to be sure, I am not talking about the coax cable that goes to the TV, but the cable that comes from the street to my outlet.

Can I replace this? Because I saw a message in the cable box to contact you before working on it.

@MarceloA  Please do not work with the outside Comcast/Xfinity lock boxes or pedestals, etc. We can help with troubleshooting to see if we can get the services activated with you or see if a technician is need to be sent out to you. They can come out check the services and any outside lines there too if required. An electrician would be needed if it is an interior issue with wiring in the home itself. To further help please send us a Direct Message:

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://comca.st/3EqVMu7

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

 - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

 - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it

See https://comca.st/3KQF8q9 for an example.

I no longer work for Comcast.
