No light at all on gateway

Setup new gateway to existing internet line and I get nothing from the machine what so ever

It did not, I had to take the device back as it wasn't working properly

When you plug the gateway into the power source, not the cable outlet, are you seeing any lights come on?

When the gateway is plugged into the power source and the cable outlet, are any lights coming on?
