No internet and no help. What's next?

My internet is “connected,” but it’s not actually working. Every time I need to use it, I have to restart my gateway just to get it to work on my TV, computers, laptops, and other devices—and even then, I have to do it separately for each device. If I manage to connect my PC, my TV won’t work, and vice versa.

I’ve tried everything: a different gateway, different Ethernet cables, multiple devices, and countless restarts of both my devices and the gateway. Nothing changes.

I attempted troubleshooting through Xfinity’s live chat assistant, but it was completely useless. It keeps telling me there are “no issues” with my internet, even though my devices clearly aren’t getting service. Instead of providing real help, it just traps me in an endless loop of generic responses that waste time.

Calling Xfinity customer service wasn’t any better. It felt like the same scripted responses from the live chat—just over the phone. Every time, I’m forced to go through a pointless questionnaire, only to be told there’s no issue, ignored, or even hung up on.

At this point, I genuinely believe these “support” systems exist just to wear customers down into accepting poor service. Meanwhile, Xfinity has no problem billing me on time and taking my money—funny how that always works smoothly.

I don’t know what else to do. Troubleshooting hasn’t helped, and getting real support from Xfinity seems impossible. Is switching providers my only option at this point?

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

@user_qi2ldc Welcome to our community forum and thank you @EG for moving this post for greater exposure. I rely on my internet every day for work so I expect it to perform when I need it. I want to make sure we find the root cause of these ongoing concerns so you can enjoy using your service going forward :). Are you subscribed to Xfinity internet service or NOW internet service
