No home phone service

Xfinity installed 2 weeks ago at my 90 yr old dad home, 4/23/25. I don't live with him but must help him bc he doesn't hear well and can barely use his cell phone. He relies on his land line. They installed  Tv, internet and home phone. When the tech left the phone was partially ported and he said it would be another hour before it was finished. By the next day it was still not done. Called and was told port would be finished on the 28th. It wasn't. Called ATT who handles the phone lines and was told the work order had been cancelled and I needed to get Xfinity to send a new one. Called Xfinity and got that set in motion, supposedly. 3 days later I called Xfinity again and was promised home phone service within 24 hrs. Did not happen.  Called Xfinity again and was told it would be fixed within the hour and to expect a confirmation text. Text came through and I replied N, as instructed. They replied that I would be called shortly. After an hour, no call. I am BEYOND FRUSTRATED!!!  Customer is no help at all even when you talk to a real person. AI is worse!!! Looks like I may have no choice but to start over with another company.
