No communications

Okay, this is my third attempt to post.  "Something went wrong."

My Internet has been out since yesterday morning.  "Storm damage.". What storm?  In what universe?

It has been "under investigation" ever since

I drove around this morning, not a single Xfinity/Comcast truck to be found.

The outage map is useless.

Trying to call? Useless automated system.

No eta, no communications, worse than centerpoint.

I do not want to private message you.  If someone is brave enough to respond, post here for all to see.

Don't tell me you are sorry, that does not get the service back on.

I am on Tidwell, zip code 77016.  Post a real response on when it will be restored.

The guys and gals in the field are at the mercy of management.  If you want to pm me, I will send the address of a place for them to eat, my treat.

Respect to the folks in the tr inches, this is all management.

Hi there ,

Do you have the Xfinity app ?  If not , download it from wherever you get your apps .

Xfinity app > services > internet > troubleshoot > test . " Our most comprehensive test can check for outages & test speeds to your Gateway & devices ".

Xfinity app > account > more resources > submit app feedback .

Yes, I have the app.  Home network is fine.  The gateway is blinky blinky, and the app shows the outage at 9:48am on 7/20.  No doubt my DOCSIS modem is not responding to the node, or the head-in is having problems.  Neighbors are out too, confirming a trunk line, fiber node, or head-in problem.

If it is a fiber line down, come get me, ETA certified splicer.  I understand the difficulties.  I repeat my offer, food for the line crew because I have been in their shoes.

This is not on my end.

Status update -

There is none.  Still "under investigation" with no eta.

Next week I will be switching to AT&T like so many others.....
