No Coax Cable (Older Building)

To whom it may concern,

I just moved into a new place, before doing so checked the better wifi providers in the area.
I previously had At&t but they didn’t offer the greatest internet speeds at the new address. Unfortunately I cannot connect my xfinity device to a coaxial cable since there doesn’t appear to be one, only an old at&t broadband port. Do I need to trade in the product I have ?
Or is it possible to have a technician come in and help? Thanks!

Hi user_v11bzs! Thanks for taking the time to visit our Xfinity Forum. We appreciate you choosing Xfinity to be your service provider, and please know my team is always here to support you with any service needs. Our technicians can install or activate unwired or prewired outlets during a new installation. There are two types of outlets technicians may install:

  • Prewired: A previously installed outlet requires activation or reconnection.
  • Unwired: This is an outlet that didn't previously exist in a customer's home and is created by our technician, who runs a wire and installs the wall plate and connection for it.

A one-time professional installation fee of $100 is required for the installation of prewired or unwired outlets. My team can assist you with getting this scheduled. Please send us a Direct Message. Here are the detailed steps to direct message us:
 • Click "Sign In" if necessary
 • Click the "Direct Message icon” (upper right corner of this page)
 • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
 • Type "Xfinity Support" in the To line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
 • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
 • Press Enter to send your message

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.
