The XB8 must have updated to the new fixed firmware when it got activated.

Hmm ... not what I was just told: ( I have an XB10 (XER10, actually, I'm told it's the same thing) ... "As it is the latest modem and the most powerful and advanced modem, we cannot enable the bridge mode; we can only enable the bridge modem in XB6, XB7, and XB8." This is what I was told in an online chat with Xfinity customer support. Is this true? ... who knows. I DO know I also have no option to enable/turn on bridge mode on my XB10/XER10 when logged in as admin. I want to set up a mesh network (Deco - three devices), and it is HIGHLY recommended to put the ISP router in bridge mode to avoid network/NAT issues.

user_d1qug0 Is on the money, the XB7 absolutely does have bridge modem capability. As far as the XB10 and XER10 are a bit different, the XER10 is used with our EPON fiber optic, that device does not actually offer bridge mode, the XB10 does though.
