NFL and Red Zone gone

Hello, I pay extra for the sports package.  I tried to watch the NFL channel this morning and received a message that both the NFL channel and Red Zone are not longer available.  Will these be added back?  Will there be credits to my account until restored.  Football is the only reason I pay extra for the package.

Hello. At this time Disney/ESPN, the owners of NFL Network, have not proposed a deal that Comcast believes is fair for its customers. Comcast pays networks and station owners for the ability to deliver their programming to Comcast customers. Agreements are negotiated to bring customers the best value for the content they want.

We are not sure if this will be negotiated more by the time the season rolls around. If a new agreement with Disney/ESPN, isn’t reached, the impact on current or future charges will be evaluated. If you'd like to remove the sports add on for the time being you can, and it can always be added back if a contract agreement is reached again.

I’ll be ditching my Comcast Xfin account this next billing.  Tired of all the in and out by the leagues, networks.   Most of my friends without kids have gone to online watching only, greatly reducing traditional viewing.. Forgot Apple Pay games and paramount  and all the others.  Like everything, consumer abuse by the market place.

if they don’t fix this soon they will absolutely lose my $5,000 a year!

Thanks for reaching out about NFL programming. The agreement to carry NFL Network expired, so it’s no longer available with Xfinity. This includes NFL RedZone and any related Xfinity Stream and On Demand programming.

Please know Comcast pays programmers to bring you the entertainment you love, and, so far, Disney/ESPN has not proposed a deal that Comcast believes is fair for its customers. Comcast continues to work toward bringing back this programming, but only with fair pricing, terms, and conditions for its customers.

I know unexpected changes to your TV lineup can be inconvenient. Thank you for understanding. For more information, you can visit xfinity.com/programmingchanges.

That is super disappointing!  Wonder why they didn't convey that to all customers?  I'm guessing this amount to losing thousands of customers if a new deal isn't reached.

So true been with them over 30 years and have all the services you think they would have given us a head up but no they don't. All they worry about is my 370 for cable and 270 for mobile service which is highly expensive.
