New xfinity id creation mobile phone verification is failing continuously

Hi all,

I'm trying to add service to a second home.  As indicated in several other places, this requires a new Xfinity ID.  I have been trying the last hour to create a new Xfinity ID.  It starts with a mobile phone number and a code that gets sent to it.  I have done this about 10 times with one phone number, initially manually entering the 6-digit code texted to me, and later cut and pasting it.  Each time it tells me the info doesn't match what Xfinity has in its records. After about 10 times on one phone number, it says it will not send another code.  So, I switch to another phone number. I get the codes there. Same issue. It says each time that the info doesn't match.  I'm like 99.999% sure I did not mistype the number or fail to cut and paste it wrong each time.

I think the phone verification system is currently broken, or I've got bad mojo on two phones.

One of the phone numbers is on Google Fi, the other is a Google Voice number.

(Ideally getting service at two locations for the same person with the same payment method wouldn't require two accounts, but that's a separate issue.)

! You can create your Xfinity ID after applying for the service. In fact, you can even link your existing ID to access the new account details once the new account is set up. Have you already submitted your application for the service?
