New service

Hello! I require service at my address yet xfinity is not physically installed at the address. I have called customer service and they said I am in a "dead zone". Am I able to put in an application for service at my address? I see there is a grant  to comcast for infostructure upgrades and the closest home with xfinity is 1 mile away so I do not see why my location does not have service already. Multiple neighbors have already requested service from xfinity. Thank you!

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hello, @user_0zwju3 thank you for reaching out over Xfinity Forums. We appreciate your interest in getting service, and wanted to share this helpful document that shows the distance an address needs to be to our physical network connection to provide service (300 feet), and the steps that need to be done: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/determining-serviceability

If the closest location is 1 mile away it sounds like there may be some scheduled construction work upcoming based on all the information you've provided. I'm glad our wonderful Forum expert @EG was able to bring this to my attention. When you were working with the customer service team, did they submit a serviceability ticket for the location?

Hello @user_0zwju3, We’d be happy to help by submitting a serviceability ticket to check availability for you.  If you could send our team a direct message with your full name and the service address. We'd be more than happy to look into this for you.

How to send us a direct message:

  1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.
  2. Click the "Direct Messaging" icon.
  3. Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon.
  4. In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support."
  5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
  6. An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
  7. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
  8. Press Enter to send it.
