New service scheduled installation

Do I need to do the $39.99 self install plus or can I opt to install the equipment myself? We already have the xfinity gateway motum

The installation would be required if the address hasn't been serviced in a while, where the network lines and taps may have deactivated, so a technician would verify that the signal is activated again and there are no service issues. They can also make sure the coax outlets in your home are active as well.

Our home was just serviced a few months ago. Is this a service I can opt out of.

user_4np0zu It really depends on if another service provider needed the lines which would have disconnected ours on the outside of the home. I can try to set you up with a self install to try, but if there is no service to the home from our main line currently you wouldn't be able to activate the service.

I would appreciate it if we can first go the self-install route! I already have the Xfinity Gateway modum but can exchange it at a store near me if that is necessary.

Can you send us a direct message with your full name, name of account holder (if different), and service address please?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon

Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon

In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support"

As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.

Press Enter to send it.
