new service, gateway flashing amber

I had xfinity internet about 3 years ago but then cancelled when prices skyrockted.  Now that prices are more competitive I signed up for xfinity internet this morning.  I went to the store to pickup the gateway, but when I installed it it wouldn't stop flashing amber.  I went through all troubleshooting steps.  Then I went back to the xfinity store and swapped out my gateway to see if that would work.  It didn't work, still flashing amber.  Any ideas?

Hi there, @user_ra6bw9! We appreciate that you signed up for our service again! Welcome back! When it is flashing amber it is not able to communicate with our network. If you have a different provider in those 3 years, they may have used some of the same wiring at your home that we do so it is no longer connected into our network. You may need a technician to fix this. If you have multiple coax outlets in your home, have you tried activating on a different one?

@XfinityRay The other provider I had recently was 5G so it did not use my cable line.  I only have one coax outlet in my home.  I'm using the one that comes directly in from outside.  Is it possible my service line is turned off on your end?

Thanks for filling me in further, @user_ra6bw9! I can check on your account to ensure everything is active and ready to go from our end. Our system will also run some testing and try to send a signal to the modem to get it online. I know you also have a separate concern with an aerial line. We can help with both of these in a direct message.
