At times, some small devices like printers require a dedicated 2.4 GHz band. The Gateway we provide will suggest by default that you use the same name and password for both your 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz creating what we call band steering. This helps the gateway provide the best connection depending on your distance from the device or the number of devices connected.
If you completed this step, it may be why the printer is having some trouble. If you name both bands with unique/different names, it should "split" the band, allowing the printer to get online. We highly suggest using the same name for both to give you the best performance, but we know at times you may need them separated. Let me know if you need help along the way.
