New Internet Service Installation Help

I just bought a new house and it didn’t have any coaxial outlets. I’m also not seeing a NID located outside. I had an electrician come to take a look and he confirmed that. Will the agent just scheduled a technician for this? It have been frustrating because they always redirected my messages and weren’t helpful so far.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

user_lq9oeh Great question thank you for coming to our Xfinity community forums for help with your setup questions. This would need a Pro install and in most cases has a $100.00 fee. Our tech would connect the home on the outside as well as connect an outlet with a direct outside connection. If you would like additional outlets or an outlet set up not on an outside wall you would need to reach out to a local electrician to help with the wallfishing for the coax lines and outlets. We work with HelloTech a nationwide service with local technicians in every metropolitan area across the United States. Comcast currently partners with HelloTech to provide help with services that we don't offer, such as:
  • Smart home device installation (including all Self Protection devices)
  • TV wall mounting
  • Computer setup
  • Wallfishing, custom outlets, and wiring installation
  • Audio and video installation

If you want to check that out you can contact Hellotech: hellotech.com/xfinity-care 1-800-753-6139

If you need help setting up that Pro Install please send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you. To send a Direct Message, please click on the chat icon in the top-right corner of the screen, next to the bell icon, and then type or select "Xfinity Support" to initiate a direct message.
