New Customer Outside Line Installation Question

I just signed up for internet only service and ordered the self install kit, it has not yet arrived. I am switching from ATT DSL and do not know if Xfinity has ever been used at my home in the past. Because this is a self installation kit, I am concerned that Xfinity expects that there is already a line to my house. Will they come to the house to verify and then add a line if needed? Do I need to schedule them to come and check on this?

Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Peer to peer chat" icon
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send it
