New construction and need internet connection

New Construction

My new home is currently under construction toward the end, and am trying to get xfinity to come set up internet service.  According to xfinity, the address is serviceable.

My location has all the wire and electrical cable underground and I can't locate the cable dropoff from the street. Please advise.

Good evening, thank you so much for taking the time to reach us with these questions via our Xfinity Residential Forums.  Every home is slightly different as far as their hookups, so this is something we'd need to be on-site to identify. Are you working with a general contractor on this job? They should be able to find these without too many issues. If the home is ready for services, then setting up a new service order would be how we can get a service professional out to you as quickly as possible.

Also, please do NOT send any of the Official Employees private messages unless they request it. The sending of a Private Message to anyone in the Forums, especially Official Employees, unless specifically requested, is against the Forum Guidelines and the Acceptable Use Policy.

Yes.  I have a general contractor for the construction, but he can't locate the service box or junction box from street.

If I order new service, will the technician able to find that box and pull new cable to the demarcation?  Thanks

Yes, we can get that done for you, although it will likely need to be 2 separate visits to get that done(we like to have all exterior work completed prior to installation) If the address is already recognized, you should be able to use our Xfinity Plan Builder to create that service order.

I'm also trying to have internet service installed at my new construction home.  The new address is not recognized by Xfinity.  It is a newly created address on the road  that appears to be covered by your service map (service does end a short distance up the road).  It is now an official address but maybe not yet recognized by comcast/xfinity.

Who can I actually talk to about possible installation of services?

user_my9mgd Hello and thank you for reaching out via our Xfinity Community Forums. I understand how frustrating it must be to set up internet service at a new construction home, especially when the address isn't immediately recognized. It's definitely concerning when you're within our service area, but the system isn't reflecting that yet. I want to assure you that I'm here to help get this sorted out for you. To begin, could you please send me a private message with your full name and the complete new construction address you're looking to get services at? This will allow me to start investigating the issue right away.
