New Cable

I am trying to set up my Xfinity service and found out that the cable outlet in the basement apartment run to a satellite dish and not the Xfinity box.  I have my modem and tried the set up process but no go.  I need a new cable run from the box to my outlet or to a new outlet in the basement.  Can a technician do this?
