new box without cable input
I clicked the links to get upgraded TV boxes. Neither one has an input for the cable. Both my existing main box and the smaller box for the bedroom TV have cable inputs. Xfinity Assistant couldn't help.
Thank you.

I just received two new boxes for our two TVs in our house. I didnt ask for them, they were just sent when I was changing my channel lineup choice. The first thing I noticed was that there is no place to screw in the round white cable, so that is what led me to here. Now I am reading that these boxes are apparently wireless and dont involve the cable cord hook up. With that said, are these boxes going to be required or can we just keep what we have? This is very confusing and we were told that if we needed a technician, it would be $100 to have them come and hook them up. I am simply asking do we need to do this, or is this based on an individual want? We are not sure if we want to go wireless based on wifi being off and on like it sometimes is. So can we stay with old box and hook up as is, or is something going to stop working and we are forced to us new box and remote? Trying to find clarification. thank you

Some of the responses from Xfinity in these threads are unbelievable.
Fact. A hard wired cable connection to your Xfinity box will always be better than wireless. Period.
Fact. You can stick with your existing boxes that you have you do not have to change your boxes.
