Need to have my router moved
Hi, when I had the internet installed at our new place, the contractor set up the router in the very back of the house in a closet. This has given us a pretty weak signal throughout the house. We're not sure why they did it this way as the house has two coax ports in the front and upstairs of our house which would be better locations (they don't work as of right now). Would a technician be able to come out to our house to help us with this?

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

@user_583b32 Good afternoon! Thank you for taking the time to reach out to our Community Forums Team for assistance with your outlets and services. With a lot of people working from home when the pandemic started, there were some unique set-ups for moving to a work from home scenario; some were a bit creative with spacing. I would be happy to assist you in scheduling an appointment to relocate your modem. To begin, can you please send a Direct Message with your name, and service address?
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon at the top of the page (looks like a text bubble)
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it

Absolutely! We can definitely activate a different outlet if that is what's needed. To get started, may I please have your name and service address?
