Need to delete modem

Hello I have 2 modems detected on my account , the one I am

currently using (both are my own personal equipment) is not being recognized because I still have older speeds (I upgraded my plan as well to 1gig up and down). And also when I look of my device it shows I have the old modem as my device even tho it’s unplugged and I changed it and activated a new one . Need help with deleting my old modem so that this new one is recognized.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hello, user_yvbzlu! Thank you for choosing Xfinity and joining us here on the Forums! I want to make sure I understand your concern correctly. Are you saying that after upgrading your equipment and making changes to your service plan, you're not seeing the expected speed increase, and the Xfinity app is still displaying your previous equipment? To start, are you currently able to connect to your home network with the new equipment? In some cases, updates to account information and device details can take time to fully sync across our systems, occasionally up to 72 hours or longer. Have you had a chance to perform any troubleshooting related to the speed concerns, such as restarting the gateway or running a speed test? We'll work with you to get to the bottom of this and make sure everything is set up and performing as expected. For future reference, please keep in mind that sending unsolicited private messages to an Official Employee of the Xfinity Help & Support Forums, is a violation of Forum Guidelines. In the future we ask that you please find the most appropriate public board for your question type and post it there. If needed, we may invite you to send us a Direct Message. With that being said, we can definitely take care of this for you from here. It just helps other members of the community with similar issues to find the answers they need.
