Need replacement router sent to me asap. Lightning has friend mine. Please help.

Hi. Yesterday we had a nasty lightning storm move thru town and lightning struck VERY close to my home and knocked out the power for about 6 blocks or so for about 2 hours. When the power was restored my router would not work at all at first but I finally did get it to come back on however the ethernet ports no longer work what-so-ever, so it seems the lightning has fried them. (I did try using different ethernet cables and no such luck, ethernet no longer works for my TV nor my gaming PC. I rely on ethernet connection for my gaming needs on my gaming pc so this has been a huge inconvenience as wifi just does not give me the same stable connection that ethernet does.

I am wanting to just exchange this fried router for a new fully functional one.

Can anyone please, please help me with this? Thank you so much! :3

Hello @Equestrianista Thank you for reaching out for help with a replacement device on our Forums! I'm sorry to hear that the storm impacted your router to make it unusable. Keeping connected is vital, and I agree, you won't have a better connection than a hard-wired connection!

If you are leasing a Xfinity Gateway you can exchange the device for a new one the same day at one of our Xfinity stores. This will be the quickest way to exchange the device. If you are not currently leasing a gateway, you can still visit a Xfinity store to pick up a gateway and check out all the awesome features it has with easy control through the Xfinity app! Even if it's just a temporary solution until you purchase a new router, it's a simple way to get connected again with no commitment.

@EG Thank you for moving the post to the right support area for our assistance!
