Need a line drop for tree work
We are having a tree removed on Thursday and need to have our cable line dropped and restored as the line is strung across where the tree will be falling. We called customer service but it didn't seem like the person had a script for our situation, and I'm not sure we reached the best solution, which was basically for someone to come out almost a week later for a service call. The customer service rep was talking about them needing access to all the cable outlets in the house and other things that made us think we weren't on the same page. Is there a specific number to call or some sort of path through the automated systems to get to a remedy for this sort of situation? Any help would be appreciated!

Hey there @user_21f08a thanks so much for reaching out via our Xfinity Forums, and I'm sorry to hear that conversation was less than productive. Please use the instructions below to reach us via Direct Messenger, and we'll do all we can to help coordinate that line move, so it isn't damaged when the tree comes down.
To send a direct message (private message);
Click "Sign In" if necessary.
Click the "Direct Message" icon in the upper right corner or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon.
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
Press Enter to send it.
