Name change request

I need to update my legal name on my account and the only thing I can find with your "automated assistant" is a bereavement form. No one has died - I am mercifully divorced and just want my maiden name on my bill so that I can stop looking at the mistake that was my married name.

P.S. Please delete your AI chat bot yesterday and, I don't know, have some real people available to help with things! It does nothing but loop to the same non-helpful material. I don't need my chosen name updated. I want my legal name updated. It should not take an act of Congress to get that done.

The concern is not "E-mail" help related......... Topic moved here to the proper help section, and for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Thank you for reaching out. I hope you are doing well today. I'll be glad to help submit the request for a name change. The request will open a ticket on our end, and you'll get a follow-up email with instructions on how to submit the documents. You must provide proof of the name change by supplying a marriage license, divorce decree, or government-issued identification with your new name. Please send me a direct message with your full name and service address to get started.

To send a direct message, please click on the chat icon in the top-right corner of the screen, and select "Xfinity Support" to initiate a Direct Message.
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "direct messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it
