myrouter.io vs 10.0.0.1 for XB8 modem

looks like the cert on the modem is hard coded for myrouter.io. As a result, I get hundreds of error windows on my windows PC in the morning because the cert isn't trusted, and something on windows is trying to access 10.0.0.1. When I go to 10.0.0.1 in my browser, I get the untrusted cert warning. I'm seen others here with the same issue. Even though the cert is valid for 6 more months (2-27-2027), because is locked to myrouter.io, the cert is not trusted.

I called Xfinity support and they said the XB8 isn't being updated anymore, so they are sending a newer XB10.

Because Xfinity support people don't like to post solutions here (for some unknown reason), the solution seems to be to get a newer modem. Well see if this actually resolves the issue as they are shipping it to me.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

I got a replacement modem. They told me they were sending an XB10 and there would be no shipping charge. They sent an XB8 and they charged me shipping. I called (again) and got them to remove the shipping charge, but they will not ship me an XB10 for free. Nearest Xfinity store is 40 minutes away.

How do I stop windows from producing hundred on dialogs saying myrouter.io is insecure?
