My whole neighborhood is out. Xfinity says it’s fine

My whole neighborhood has no internet service and yet Xfinity says no outages have been reported. This is clearly wrong since I reported it and so did neighbors. They told me they would expedite a service call and have someone there in 5 days.  Yes, 5 days is what they consider to be expedited. Then they had the nerve to try and get me to switch cell service.

Their system makes it virtually impossible to speak to a human which wouldn’t be so bad if  their virtual assistant was any good, but it’s awful.

It’s impossible to parody Xfinity. It’s a shame there are no competitors left in my area.

I didn’t list my location since I assume no one from Xfinity monitors this, but just in case, we are in zip 93921

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hi there and welcome to Comcast @user_5uxn4q. I am sorry to hear that you have been having troubles with your services. When you check our service interruption map, does it show any maintenance work in your area?

The map legend now shows that there are > 2000 people in my town without service. My cable modem shows as offline (correct). The outage map says "Everything looks good!" at my location. There is obviously a major outage in my area related to the storm. It's just not clear why one part of the system seems to know that and another part doesn't.

Our service has been in and out for almost a month in south Hanover when we finally got a tech to our home we were told it was out because they had done an upgrade thru a third party and now xfinity repair has to follow up on repairs and until they are able to do these repairs our service can’t be repaired.  So just called in today for another service person to come out as our tv is black when on although at this time our internet is working and they gave me an appointment for 7 days from now.

too bad they are the only company in town😢

Hello @user_im13u5 I am sorry to hear about the service being in and out for so long. We would be happy to check things on our end to see how we can help. Did the previous tech give you any information regarding the ongoing repairs needing to be fixed?
