Good evening @user_06eud2, and thank you for reaching out on our Forums, we appreciate it. It sounds like you are having some issues with your remote. No problem, our team can help. Can you tell us a bit more about what your remote is doing? Are you experiencing any error codes on your screen when utilizing your remote?
Keep in mind that a "remote" problem might be caused by the remote not sending the correct signals, OR by the device receiving the signals not processing them correctly. With that in mind, some "first aid" suggestions:
Unplugging the cable box for a minute or so to reset it
Changing the batteries in the remote
Replacing the remote
Replacing the box
Consider getting another remote so you have a spare. Test the spare to make sure it's working, then remove the batteries (so they don't drain and cause corrosion), and maybe store it with a copy of the programming instructions from https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/programming-your-xfinity-remote.
