My library playback problems

My shows keep getting stuck in loops. For example, they run for 5 mins and as we enter a commercial it loops back to the previous 20 seconds of the show and keeps doing that. I've unplugged and plugged everything back in (my chromecast). I've removed the app and downloaded it again. I've tried almost everything and it happens on multiple shows, multiple channels. Help please.
