My Internet service was cancelled without me doing anything

My xfinity Internet was recently cancelled without me cancelling or doing anything at all. I am now not allowed to change plans and need to “contact the owner” of my account, that I am the owner of. I don’t know if Xfinity is contacting the previous tenet of the apartment & he is cancelling or it is just a mix up, either way I need an answer soon because I need to finish my school work.

You don't say how long you've been at this address, but if it's fairly recently, the problem is that the previous tenent has an outstanding bill which is why you're being disconnected.  To rectify that you'll need to go to your nearest Comcast store and show them proof of residency, either by a lease or a utility bill with your current address and name, and a photo ID.
