My gateway fan just started running constantly. I most likely need to exchange it but is it safe to leave it running until I can get to the

The fan on my Xfinity gateway runs constantly. Do I just take it to a nearby Xfinity store and exchange it?

Hello user_gkhcka are you seeing decreased performance from the modem? Does it seem like it is now running hot or overheating? You can visit our stores and have the device swapped out anytime. We recommend using our Xfinity Store Locator to find the nearest corporate store and setting up an appointment for fast and easy service.
