My Email Account Was Hacked

Hello,

On 5 August 2025 my Xfinity email account was hacked in the midst of a business transaction where I was attempting to sell two boxes of books to a dealer in Arizona. The scammers managed to intercept the emails between myself and the dealer and the dealer believing the scammer was me paid the scammers the $600 he was going to pay me through Pay Pal. Because the deal was made through Pay Pal Friends and Family there is really no recourse through Pay Pal and as far as the dealer is concerned he paid somebody for the books so the deal is done. Bottomline, I never got paid my $600 and I am out the $50 I spent on shipping. In addition to the money, most of my saved emails in a variety of folders were deleted.

I want to be clear - I have been a Comcast/Xfinity customer since 2004. I have had used this company for internet, cable, phone, and mobile phone. Currently I have Xfinity internet in two different homes and my family's mobile phones are through Xfinity. I have paid this company a lot of money over the past 21 plus years. I think Xfinity should compensate me some for what I lost in this transaction due to my Xfinity email account getting hacked.
