My cancellation date wrong

This morning I called Xfinity to cancel my Internet for May 7 the agent I spoke to was lovely but he put the can date for May 24 and I just don’t understand why my canceled date is set that day. If I no longer need the service I called another agent to ask them the question they they said that they see May 7 but it should be May 17 as the cancellation date, so does that mean I’m still paying an additional month of service if I only need it up to the 7th

user_hgw1vw Thanks for reaching out with your cancellation concern. When putting in a cancellation we normally put the end date 1-2 weeks after the stop bill date (day you request to end service). This will stop billing, and you won't be charged past that unless something changes, and you need to move the date or cancel the request. Then the billing would just continue as normal. You bill stop date though should be set for the day you requested to end service which will stop any billing for service. If you like I would be happy to confirm the order is correct for you.
