MSNBC Apple TV streaming app malfunctioning

I am SO upset that I AGAIN cannot access the MSNBC content I am paying for via the Apple TV streaming app for MSNBC. The MSNBC streaming app is throwing an error saying I am not authorized to watch the live feed of the MSNBC news. But I AM AUTHORIZED. I pay Xfinity for it.

And even though I’m logged into the MSNBC streaming app, it continues to show an error saying I am not logged in and not authorized. It is not recognizing my credentials because Xfinity is blocking my access..

I can log into the MSNBC website on my Mac, with Xfinity as my provider, and watch MSNBC on my Mac via the MSNBC website, but not on Apple TV via the MSNBC streaming app.

This has happened in recent months to the CNN streaming app, the Max streaming app, and others. And each time the problem was caused by Xfinity not recognizing my credentials correctly… and blocking my access to content I’m paying for.

I am running the latest Apple TV and app versions. I have already restarted the Apple TV network. I have already deleted the MSNBC app and reinstalled it today. It still shows the same error.

There’s secondary issue. AI customer service SUCKS. The decision/logic trees do NOT cover all needs of customers. And it is extremely hard to reach a human. Comcast/Xfinity customer support has been really bad for over 25 years… and now it’s far worse. The only reason I continue to pay for service is my need to have very fast internet. But Xfinity simply abuses its customers and its monopoly should be broken.
