Moving

Hey there, so I am moving in with some people I know and they already have an Xfinity plan under their name and everything, but the plan I have is a faster one and want to move that plan to the new location. Should they just cancel there plan and I will go through the moving process on the Xfinity website or is there a way to go about it? Thank you for any information.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Thank you for reaching out @TrevorG25. Does your account have an early termination fee? I would suggest looking at your account and seeing if you are still under a term agreement and if so how many months do you have left. I would then look at the account where you are moving and see if they also have a term agreement on the account. This may change the next steps.

You can transfer your services to the new location, and the current account would need to be disconnected. When you are ready to transfer your services to the new location you can follow the link: https://www.xfinity.com/learn/moving to get started.

Another option would be to have the account holder or manager at the new place reach out and discuss upgrade options and you would disconnect your current account.

If you disconnect your account, I would suggest to have the primary account holder visit the link: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/adding-new-user-names-or-email-addresses to add your name to the account and https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/designate-users-restricted-or-unrestricted to manage your user role on the account. This will create a username for you to have access to the account and to all the great apps we have created that will enhance your experience with Xfinity and help prevent issues in the future with authorization.
