Moving to Europe - what happens to my xfinity contract?

All,

I will be moving to Europe beginning of next year for work. Since xfinity is not in Europe, how can I cancel my xfinity contract?

user_fd3zue Thank you for using the Community Forums page to contact us. First and foremost congratulations on your impending move. I have always wanted to live in Europe, even if just for a little while. To answer your question, because you are moving to an area that is outside our service footprint we would recommend terminating services. While we would hate to see you go, it wouldn't make sense to pay for a service you are unable to take advantage of. 

 

I can assist you with making this change on my end as well, but are still a bit ahead of when you would be officially making this change. Do you currently have a specific date in mind for the move?

Hi Marcus, many thanks for getting back so quickly. The current target date is 1/1. When do we need to get starting to make the change 'official'?

@user_fd3zue Thank you for letting us know that you will be looking to discontinue services as of 1/1. We can only set up disconnect requests within 30 days of when you are trying to disconnect services, I would recommend reaching back out the first week of December, and we can definitely assist you with making this change and ensure that everything goes smoothly for disconnecting the account.
