Moving to a second home while keep first home's service for awhile

How can I add service to a second home on my account, and not schedule the termination of my current home's service? I am sure this is a common request..

When I go to the Xfinity moving page at https://www.xfinity.com/learn/moving, it seems to enfoire a "move date" and its not clear that I can leave the current home's service intact. Can this be done onine or do I have to call? I am trying to avoid a call as the last time I called in a month or two agao it was a nightmare getting hold of anyone.

I did see this in the FAQ, but it doesn't say "how".

Can I have services at both my old address and new address while I'm in the process of moving?
Yes. If you let us know the dates that you wish to activate service at your new address and maintain service at your old address, you can have service at each.

@dawalt Thanks so much for taking the time to reach out to us regarding your move concerns. We can certainly assist you in setting up the services at both locations. You would just need to have multiple accounts active at one time. I would love to help you with this directly. Can you please reach out directly through private message with your first and last name, name on the account if different and service address for both old and new locations?

Hi @ComcastMichele thanks for the reply. I was able to get this set up a couple weeks ago, I appear to be confirmed with the new service - it just says "waiting for activation", as I am using my own modem. THe service level/speed appears correct too on the web site. So I guess I am all set to go once I move in?

Hello @ComcastMichelle - I'd like to do something similar with my account, where I'd like to activate internet at my new place but keep service on at my old place for about 5 weeks.

Thanks I look forward to hearing from you

Pretty much the same as above. Need service at the new place for about two months while we renovate then transfer the fast service once we are actually moving in. I’ve already got the modem and the house has the xfinity cable so we should be good to go.

Who should I talk/chat with? Thanks!

Hello user_9fafbe. We appreciate you visiting and posting on our Forums. All you would need to do is create/open a second Comcast account at your new location. Doing this will allow you other home being renovated, to continue to keep all services and credentials active. You also have the option to just transfer your whole account from the home being renovated to the temporary new home. Of course, doing that would mean you would have active service only at one location. Either way we can help with this process. So we can help you, please send us a direct chat message with your full name and service address to Xfinity Support. To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forums page. Let me know if you have any questions.
