Moving soon; Keep current equipment instead of returning

Hi, I'm moving soon and have gone through the process of scheduling the transfer of services from my current place to my new one. I put in my new address, I scheduled a date for service to stop and start, I changed my plan a little, and I chose self-installation with my own equipment - that being my current internet equipment. I was just going to take it with me to my new place.

I then learn that that equipment is rented, and I will need to return it. Is it possible to just bring my perfectly-operational equipment with me to new place instead of returning it only to have the exact same thing sent to me in the mail later. Please please let me know. I am willing to pay to just keep renting my current equipment. Don't make me go through the time-wasting process of returning it only to get the literal same thing in the mail later. Thank you!!! I hope I was clear!

I understand the convenience of wanting to take your current equipment with you and use it in your new home. I'd feel that same way too. There are a few factors regarding the equipment.
