Moving and keeping service at current address

Hello, I am currently in the process of moving to my new address. I would like to have Xfinity internet installed at the new address while keeping service at my current address. Also, my current address is my parent's house and my dad would like to keep the current internet service online, but transferred to his name. What would be the best process to achieve this?

Just to make it clear:

  • I currently have mobile and internet service through Xfinity at my current address.
  • I would like to have Xfinity internet installed and running at my new address and eventually transfer my service to my new address.
  • The internet service at my current address needs to be transferred to a new account holder.

plitchf_12 Thanks for creating a post! Since you want to keep service active at the current address, the best option may be to create a separate account at the new address instead of transferring service. Transferring service would cancel the account at the old address as the new address is activated. For your father to take over the account, you can submit an Account Change Request to have the ownership transferred to from your name to your father's. It may take some time for the account to be transferred, but I'd recommend setting up the new account first and then starting to transfer of ownership.
