Move from Apartment to New Construction
Hello. I was recently informed that my Xfinity internet has been canceled, an action which I haven't started myself. I broken my lease on my apartment, which I think had them canceling it for me. I would have wanted to speak to someone from Xfinity about keeping my account on hold while they finish my house (which has been delayed due to weather).
Is there an email where I could contact a representative and explain my current situation? I really like my internet service so far and I do not want to cancel my subscription. Thank you.

Hello, etello! Welcome to the Xfinity Forums.
I understand how moving can be stressful enough as it is without having to be concerned with your services too, so I'm glad you reached out to us about this.
Accounts do need an address in order to remain open. If a new resident moved into your old apartment and was able to provide proof of residency, your account would have been closed as it did not have a new address to be transferred to at the time.
On the plus side, this means that you aren't paying for a service you aren't there to use and I know we all love getting to save a little extra money! 🙂
Since it sounds like your next home is a new construction, we will need to go through a bit of a different process anyways to make sure we can run service to that location. I'd love to work with you and help you with this process. Please send me a private message with your first and last name, as well as your new service address so I can assist.
