move comcast battery backup cabinet from my property
Xfinity just installed a HUGE backup battery cabinet in our yard without our knowledge that it was going to go there and that it would be above ground. It is a HUGE eyesore. We live in the mountains... natural landscaping. Our road is dirt gravel and not maintained by the county. We get plenty of snow during the winter and our road does not get plowed. Why wasn't it installed in a neighborhood that is more "citified" and on a county maintained road that gets plowed in the winter? We want this back up battery cabinet underground or removed from our property.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

@user_1hwxuc Thank you for reaching out via our Xfinity Forums regarding the installation on your property. Here is a great link to our [Easement Rights Policy]https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/easement-rights-policy. I cannot speak to why that location was chosen for the pedestal but I would be happy to look into what the cost would be or if it is even possible to have it moved. To get started, please send our team a private message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account.

I read that this happened to a neighbor in the east bay. When they found out they went to the city who issued the permit to comcast (with no notice to homeowner) to complain. The city stopped the installation and scheduled a meeting with the homeowner, city and comcast to seek a better solution/location. Have you complained to your governing building dept. to see if they can help? Good luck, they are ugly!
