More flexible bundle options

I have been trying to get more information about deals (internet+tv). It looks like I don't have any cheaper option. My bill increased a lot in the past months and I simply cannot downgrade my plan. I am thinking of canceling the service and wait for Verizon Fios to be available in my area because they have more flexible and cheaper options, even if it means I will have no internet or tv for some time.

How come new customers have more benefits than existing customers who always pay on time? This is quite frustrating.
