Hi @user_wkjx9k! Thank you for reaching out on our Xfinity Communit Forum, and sharing your experience. I understand your concern, especially if you've had modem issues.

To help us better understand what's happening, could you clarify what you mean by "techs"? Have our technicians visited your home, or have you been working with our technical support team over the phone?

I'd also like to learn a little more about your modem concern:

  • How long has this been occurring?
  • What led you to believe the modem is burning out? Are you seeing specific symptoms such as intermittent connectivity, overheating, loss of power, or equipment failures?

In the meantime, if you haven't already, please review our modem troubleshooting guide: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/troubleshooting-your-cable-modem.

If you're using an Xfinity-leased modem, please let us know the model number as well. For example, customers with the DPC3941T modem may need a replacement due to a known manufacturer issue that can impact service.

We look forward to learning more so we can point you in the right direction.
